Where

Francis A. Hanofee Memorial Park, Liberty, NY.
The race site is located about 5 minutes from the Town of Liberty.

Date and Time

Sunday, August 1, 2010. The first swim wave will hit the water at 7:30 AM. The Transition area will open at 5:30 AM. Race management reserves the right to modify or shorten the race course in the case of inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances, and to accept or reject any entry. No transfers, substitutions. The minimum age to compete is 13.

Athletes MUST pick up their packets on Saturday (July 31st), at Francis A. Hanofee Memorial Park, between the hours of 4-6 PM or on Race Morning (August 1st) from 5:30-7:00 AM. Check in at the park will be at the pavilion.

Parking Details

Parking for the LibertyMan Triathlon will be in the grass field across from the transition area. Plenty of parking will be available.

The Swim Course

The 2 Loop 1.2 Mile Swim takes place in Hanofee Lake. Wetsuits will be allowed and USAT rules and regulations will be enforced. The swim is a Wave Start with the first wave at 7:00 am. Each wave will have about 100 participants in each wave. There will be Lifeguard Support on Kayaks, Surfboards and Boats.

The Bike Course

The bike portion of this event consists of 13.5 miles and will be made up of 1 loop.  The bike route is listed below.

Begin by Exiting Hanofee Memorial Park.
Racers will make a Right onto Sunset Lake Road and ride North.
Racers will make a Left onto Infirmary Road.
Racers will make a Right onto Airport Road.
Racers will stay on Airport Road and Merge onto McIntosh Road.
Racers will make a Right onto Wade Road.
Racers will make a Left onto Reynolds Road.
Racers will merge onto Labaugh Road.
Racers will merge onto Dryer Road and head North.
Racers will make a Left onto Cole Road.
Racers will make a Left onto Divine Corners Road.
Racers will make a Right onto Bowers Road.
Racers will make a Right onto McIntosh Road.
Racers will Merge onto Airport Road.
Racers will make a Left onto Infirmary Road.
Racers will make a Left onto Sunset Lake Road.
Racers will re-enter Hanofee Memorial Park.

Following the completion of the bike course racers will re-enter the back of the transition area to get ready for the run.

The Run Course

The run portion of this event consists of 5 miles and will be made up of a 1 loop course.  The run route is listed below.

Runners will make a Right Turn onto Sunset Lake Road and head North.
Runners will make a Right Turn onto Airport Road.
Runners will make a Right onto Hysana Road.
Runners will make a Right Turn onto Route 52
Runners will make a Right Turn onto Sunset Lake Road and head back to the park.

Relays

There will be one Relay division this year. Relay teams can be made up of 2 or 3 person teams of either men or women. It's up to you how you want to divide up the Swim, Bike and Run.

Overall Male
1st - 3rd will receive Medals.
Overall Female
1st - 3rd will receive Medals.
Age Group
1st - 3rd will receive Medals.
Relay
1st - 3rd will receive Medals.

Out of respect for the other athletes, YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO RECEIVE YOUR AWARD. NO AWARDS WILL BE MAILED. Please note that if you race as a Clydesdayle or Athena you are not eligible for an overall award.

Post Race BBQ Feast

Once you are done with the race head on over to the BBQ pit for some good food by 52 Steakhouse. We'll have chicken, ribs, steak with all the fixings. A veggie option will also be available.

Timing Services

Tri and Du It Multisport will be timing the event, utilizing the state of the art AMB ChipX Timing System. You'll receive 5 Splits: Swim Time, Transition 1, Bike, Transition 2, and Run times.
